FiberBuilt Canopy Materials & Care Guide

FiberBuilt’s shade products feature high-quality canopy materials designed for durability and
long-lasting performance. With the exception of our Garden and Patio umbrellas, all of our
umbrellas—as well as cabanas and pavilions—are crafted from Marine-Grade or Furniture
Grade solution-dyed acrylic fabrics. We exclusively use premium acrylic fabrics from industry
leaders such as Sunbrella® and Outdura®, ensuring exceptional resistance to fading, stains,
mold, and mildew, even with prolonged outdoor exposure.

Fabric Durability & Maintenance
To maximize the lifespan of your umbrella canopies and outdoor cushions, regular cleaning is
recommended. Fabric manufacturers suggest:
• Routine Care: Brush off dirt and wipe up spills promptly to prevent them from setting.
• Monthly Rinsing: Spray canopies and cushions with warm water to maintain cleanliness
and prevent buildup.

Cleaning Instructions
Sunbrella’s solution-dyed acrylic fabrics are engineered with a protective finish that repels soil,
stains, and mildew. To clean your canopy while it remains on the fully opened umbrella frame:
1. Lay the open umbrella on a clean surface, resting on two ribs and the pole’s end for
easier reach.
2. Brush off loose dirt and hose down the fabric.
3. Prepare a cleaning solution using two capfuls of mild, natural soap (non-detergent) per
gallon of lukewarm water (under 100°F).
4. Use a soft-bristle brush or sponge to scrub the fabric lightly, allowing the soap to soak
in.
5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow the fabric to air dry.

UMBRELLA WARRANTY

FiberBuilt Umbrellas & Cushions warranties our two piece fiberglass ribbed Garden, Patio, Terrace,
Market and Beach Umbrellas, and all wood umbrellas, as well as all bases, cabanas and upholstery work
for a period of one year from the date of purchase, to the original purchaser, against defects in materials
and workmanship. Additionally, fiberglass support ribs on our Market and 8-rib Beach Umbrellas are
warranted for five (5) years from the date of purchase. Our Prestige Collection Umbrellas (Augusta,
Bambusa, Bridgewater, Diamante, Lucaya, Nitro, Oceana, Palm and Riva) are warranted for a period of
five (5) years from the date of purchase, to the original purchaser, against defects in materials and
workmanship. Fiberglass support ribs on all Prestige Collection Umbrellas are also warranted for five (5)
years. Our Euro Collection Umbrellas (Bali, Edge and Venice) are warranted for a period of two (2) years
from the date of purchase, to the original purchaser, against defects in materials and workmanship. For
the warranty to apply, all umbrellas must be secured in a properly weighted base. Though our fiberglass
ribbed umbrellas have successfully passed wind tests over 50 miles per hour, FiberBuilt Umbrellas &
Cushions does not recommend allowing umbrellas to remain open during storms or strong winds.
Customer is responsible for taking the umbrella down when winds reach unsafe conditions. Normal care
and maintenance of products is required to insure years of problem free use.
Damaged umbrellas should be immediately taken out of service. This warranty does not cover the
umbrella pole, crank or tilt, glass tops, glides, normal fading of fabrics and finishes and chemical stains.
This warranty does not cover any damage due to acts of God, abuse, misuse or vandalism incurred to
the umbrella after purchase, nor does it cover customer’s own material. For warranty to apply products
must be properly cared for and maintained. Modifications made to the product after production may
void warranty. This warranty does not provide coverage or reimbursement for loss of use, time,
inconvenience or other damages resulting from any defect in the product. To find out more about our

TILT UMBRELLAS ARE NOT WARRANTED IN COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS

FABRIC WARRANTY

Fabric options offered vary by product. Umbrella canopies made from Outdura or Sunbrella fabrics are
warranted from the fabric mill against light fastness. This is a limited pro-rated warranty provided
directly from the fabric mill for a period of five (5) years for Sunbrella furniture grade fabrics and for a
period of ten (10) years for Outdura or Sunbrella marine grade fabrics. This warranty covers the fabric
becoming unserviceable because of loss of color or strength from normal exposure conditions including
sunlight, mildew rot and atmospheric chemicals. It does not cover labor and installation supplied by
FiberBuilt Umbrellas & Cushions or any other dealer. In the event that your fabric fails, please contact us
to submit a claim and for further details. All fabric must be properly maintained and cleaned regularly
for the warranty to be effective. Spun Acrylic, vinyl coated weaves and select marine grade fabrics do
not carry an additional warranty.
