First, let’s admit it, not all outdoor furniture styles allow for attachments. It’s true. Some pieces with curved backs, tight fitting or deep seating cushions make attachments to the frame unnecessary. But most of the time you will want to secure cushions or headrests to chaises, chairs, barstools or benches. FiberBuilt offers several types of connection options. Depending on the style and shape of your
furniture, some options may be more appropriate than others.
For example, for chaises that have a decorative curved top to the frame, standard ties and Velcro straps work better than the tailored hood style which can’t stretch over a curled frame. If the chair or chaise is a sling or woven resin style where there is no opening through which to put the ties, then the Velcro strap or diagonal straps may be the best choice.
Provide your sales person with a photo of your chaise, chair or bench along with the width of the frame so that we can provide the guidance that will help ensure a secure and proper fit. For replacement cushions, sending in the actual skins from your existing cushions will provide our production department with the crucial dimensions and design specifications to create custom cushions that fit your frames and keep them from moving about or blowing away in high winds.
Furniture shape, style, location and cushion use are considerations that need to be taken into account when specifying the best attachment to keep your cushions snugly in place.
